NDTG has received an important update from CITB regarding their revised ID Requirement Policy. The information below will be effective from 1st April 2020.
The new ID requirements are broken down into:
- Primary ID
- Secondary ID: List A and List B
- Other ID
If the candidates do not have the required form of Primary-ID, they may present two forms of Secondary-ID. This must be one ID from List A and one ID from List B. One Secondary ID should have a photo and one should have a signature.
The candidate is required to present one form of original Primary ID (no photocopies or digital IDs), valid (unexpired) government-issued ID that includes their name, recent recognisable photograph, and signature.
Candidates will NOT be seated for a test if they do not have the appropriate forms of identification.
The first and last names that the candidate uses to register must match exactly the first and last name on the ID that is presented on test day.
Primary ID
The candidate must present one of the following:
- International Travel Passport – A valid passport of any nationality with a photograph of the candidate and their signature.
- Driving Licence – A valid UK only driving licence with a photograph of the candidate and their signature.
Secondary ID – List A
The candidate must present one of the following:
- Non-UK Driving Licence – Showing a photograph and printed full name. Must be in date.
- EU Country card/National Identity card – Showing a photograph and printed full name. Must be in date.
- CSCS card or Partner card showing the CSCS Logo (Hologram) – Showing a photograph and printed initial and surname. Acceptable scheme cards include CSCS, CPCS, CISRS and CCDO.
- British armed forces card – Showing a photograph and for employee of Armed Forces only (not dependant or spouse).
- New Veterans ID Card – Showing a photograph and printed initial and surname. Must be in date.
- Citizen Card – Showing a photograph and printed full name. Must display the pass hologram. Must be in date.
- A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) – Issued in the UK (Formerly known as the identity card for foreign nationals). Must be in date.
- Young Scots Card – Showing a photograph, printed full name and DOB. Must be in date.
Secondary ID – List B
The candidate must present one of the following:
- Credit Card – Showing the candidate’s name (initial and surname is acceptable) and Signature and bank logo. (Must be in date).
- Debit Card -Showing the candidate’s name (initial and surname is acceptable) and Signature and bank logo. (Must be in date).
- Bank Statement – Within the last 3 months and including printed initial and surname and home address. This must match the address given at the time of booking.
Other ID
A waiver form should only be used if no other form of primary or secondary ID can be provided.
- Waiver form – With a countersigned photograph of the candidate and their signature – follow the guidelines on the waiver form about two additional ID requirements and instructions.
- Under 16 Confirmation of Identification Form – With a countersigned photograph of the candidate from the school or college that they attend. Only to be used alongside the parental consent form, if the candidate is under the age of 16 and does not have required photographic identification.
