NDTG courses are a benchmark for quality.
Our highly experienced trainers can guide candidates through the technicalities and practical application of new demolition operative skills from course to site.
The National Demolition Training Group is the only organisation able to issue CCDO cards that are recognised and requested by those who commission demolition projects in the UK. Due to close affiliation with NFDC and other industry bodies, you can be certain that an NDTG course delivers the most up-to-date training for you or your workforce.
Open Courses
NDTG offers a wide variety of Open Courses to Members and the General Public. From Asbestos Awareness to Demolition Manager, all of our courses are offered to the highest standards.
By training with NDTG, you not only ensure that your workforce is fully compliant to the latest industry standards, but you’re also investing in their future.
Our training centre in Hemel Hempstead is welcoming, accommodating, and easily accessible. With new locations coming, there are plenty of options to suit your company’s needs. Contact our training team to discuss which course is right for you and your employees.
Bespoke Courses
NDTG’s bespoke demolition training courses are a great way to schedule in-house training; with 5+ Operatives we can send a trainer to your premises. Each course will be tailored to your needs and can be carried out whenever suits you best. A bespoke course allows you to train operatives at the same time, on a date and location that’s convenient for you.

NVQ
Demolition NVQ’s are work-based qualifications which recognise the skills and competency of the candidate. Studying for an NVQ is a great way to develop a career in the demolition industry and, once completed, they demonstrate that the candidate has the required knowledge and technical skills to work safely and effectively on site.
The industry-acclaimed CCDO Card Scheme requires cardholders to complete an NVQ to convert ‘Trained Operative’ cards to full and renewable ‘Competent Operative’ cards within a set time period. Levels of NVQ vary with each CCDO card, so please check – or ask NDTG for advice – on which NVQ Level is required to qualify your specific job card.
NDTG is an accredited NVQ Centre offering NVQ Level 2, Level 3+, Level 4 and Level 6 Qualifications.
Contact our team today to find out more about the NVQ Units, and Rules of Combination.
Apprenticeships
Trailblazer Apprentice Scheme:
The NFDC are end-point assessors for the government backed Trailblazer Demolition Operative Apprenticeship Standard. A scheme developed by the demolition industry, for the demolition industry. The Demolition Trailblazer is an opportunity, for anyone aged 16 – 65 and residing in England, to take on a full time position at a demolition firm and train whilst earning a wage. In 2022, 25 new apprentices from all over the UK embarked on their course and we are looking to take on another cohort in July/August! Fantastic news for the demolition industry.

SAP Apprentice Scheme:
The Specialist Applied-Skills Programme (SAP) is the Apprenticeship scheme to undertake if you reside in Wales.
Funding
NDTG works to secure funding for its members to make demolition training for the workforce more accessible and affordable. Over 2019/20 many CCDO courses were partially funded by CITB, a government-backed scheme aiming to improve training, standards and opportunities across the construction industry.
All NDTG members registered with the CITB are now eligible for the new Skills & Training Fund, launched in April 2020. For details and support of how to claim and spend your Skills & Training Fund, please contact the NDTG Group Training Officer, Iain Kirk on 01442 217 144 (Option 2)
