In March this year NFDC crowned Sarah Stockley, of Erith Contractors, their Demolition Apprentice of the Year in a glamorous awards ceremony. The event, designed to recognise the very best talent in the demolition sector today, was proudly sponsored by ourselves at NDTG.
Today, London & South East Colleges (LSEC) Director of Apprentices and Distance Learning, Debra McDermott, revealed that an elated Sarah is “over the moon” with her End Point Assessment result – an overall distinction in the Demolition Standard. This makes Sarah not only the first Demolition Apprentice in this country to achieve the demolition standard, but she’s the first female Demolition Apprentice to boot!
In sharing the good news with all those who have been a part of Sarah’s learning journey, LSEC are keen to ensure Sarah’s story reaches as far and wide as possible. Demolition Apprentices just like Sarah are exactly what the industry now needs, and with the Apprenticeship programme now more accessible than ever we want to see more Apprentices reaching the same heights.
At National Demolition Training Group, we extend our congratulations to Sarah Stockley – a remarkable young woman who represents the pride of the demolition industry and a future demolition manager in the making. Very well done Sarah, all your hard work paid off!
