CCDO Demolition Chargehand (5 Year Card)
For “working supervisors” leading a team of CCDO Topman, CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operatives and CCDO Labourers to perform specific demolition or dismantling tasks, reporting to a CCDO Demolition Site Supervisor. Experienced Topmen who upon achieving the Chargehand course are required to achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Supervision. The individual holding this qualification should either have previously held or currently holds a full 5-year CCDO Topman qualification. The Silver card is valid for 5-years and is renewable.
Duties
Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with RAMS.
Reporting to site supervisor.
Delivering Tool Box Talks.
Team Leader directing and working alongside operatives.
Preparation and delivery of site inductions.
Pre-requisites
Must hold the red (3 Year) CCDO Chargehand card or have a minimum of 5-years Demolition Industry experience. To obtain a 5-year Demolition Chargehand card you must meet all the pre-requisites; have completed the 2-day course and passed NVQ Level 3. You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate (as a minimum). Other higher level Asbestos Training will be accepted. You can only obtain your Asbestos Awareness Certificate through NDTG, UKATA, ARCA, or ACAD (not E-Learning). Find out more about the course with us:
Achieved Level 3 Demolition Chargehand NVQ. There are 9 mandatory units: VR209v2, VR210v3, VR211v2, VR212v2, VR154v3, VR763v1, VR213v3, VR215v1 and VR760v1 and 1 unit that is picked out of a choice of 4: VR155v3, VR156v3, VR157v3 or VR158v3.
The silver card valid for 5 years. This card is renewable. For card renewal, operatives will need to sit the 2-day Chargehand course. For more information, contact NDTG on 01442 217 144 (option 2).
