#worldmentalhealthday2020

NFDC is committed to raising awareness around mental health in the demolition industry and has placed strategic focus on reducing the stigma around mental health, in addition to signposting resources and providing assets for demolition contractors to use within their companies.

With the impact of lockdown, increased worry for the health of family and loved ones, and for many, job and financial concerns, there has never been a more important time to be mental health aware, ensuring demolition employees know where to turn if they are struggling.

Whilst mental ill-health can strike at any time, on Saturday 10th October we’ll join in observing World Mental Health Day and ask that demolition leaders ‘do one thing’ for better mental health. The NFDC have created free Mental Health Awareness posters which you can print and display around offices, sites or welfare areas, or perhaps you can encourage Site Supervisors to check in with individual operatives to see how they’re coping with Coronavirus, or by sharing some of the resources readily available on the NFDC website and many more accessible from many third parties and charities.

You can download a PDF copy of NFDC’s poster here.
