It’s worth noting that the Trained Operator Red Card only lasts for 3 years and is not renewable – instead, the operative must pass the relevant NVQ to upgrade to the relevant Blue Operative card. The Blue cards are renewable by attending a one day course. This validates your card for a further 5 years.
